Remnants of the "truckers convoy" remain in Ottawa and at the Coutts USA/Canada border crossing and offshoots have appeared in cities across the country. Its hard to miss these metal and chrome behemoths rolling down the road bedecked with flags, signs and placards and horns honking their rally cry for freedom from government overreach. What has caught the attention of Canadians from coast to coast has also gained global media attention and spawned "truckers convoys" in many other countries.

I recently heard or read that there's hardly anything that has become part of our everyday lives that a trucker didn't haul and handle. That really impacted me as to how important truckers are. Truckers are the front lines "essential service" workers for everybody, everywhere and for governments to mandate against them is asking for trouble. If even a small percentage of truckers stop hauling for any length of time supply chain troubles will explode.

Another group of truckers is leading the charge to the Alberta legislature for another rally today. Regardless if you choose to join them or not next time you see a trucker in his/her rig wave a greeting or honk your horn as a way of saying "thanks".

Below is a moving video that captures the how many Canadians feel about the Truckers Convoy

That moving video is followed by a short but disturbing video recorded yesterday by Freedom Trucker lawyer Keith Wilson.
