SO MANY NEEDS, ONLY SO MUCH MONEY

Weeks before the budget becomes the actual focus city councillors are grappling with where to get the funds to a cash shortfallfinding there is a shortage of cash to meet all the needs. There are a number of city facilities, roads, bridges, and transit needs that that need to be addressed. In order to have the funds to do so will require raising taxes, redirecting money slated to neighbourhood and delaying neighbourhood projects or an injection of funs from either the provincial or federal governments coffers. Ultimately any and all government funds come from taxes.
