THEFT OF CATALYTIC CONVERTER HUGE FIANCIAL SETBACK FOR EDMONTON DAYCARE
Almost 5000 catalytic converters were stolen in Alberta last year and a majority of those thefts were in Edmonton. Catalytic converter thefts continue and one of the recent thefts has created a a major setback in operations and finances for the Glengarry Child Care Society, a non-profit daycare.
The catalytic converter was recently stolen from the school bus they purchased in May and because of supply chain problems its uncertain as to when a replacement will be available. The catalytic converter replacement will it cost $1000s and a smaller bus had to be rented to transport children to and from school.
