GROUNDBREAKING CANCER TREATMENT DEVELOPED IN EDMONTON

Most adults know some/s or themselves have had some form of cancer so to hear of any success on the cancer fighting front is good news.

Even better news is that a groundbreaking treatment for certain types of blood cancer has been jointly developed by Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta.Trials began in March 2021 for chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy and 8 of 10 patients have shown promising results of long-term remission or cancers significantly diminished.
