DAVID TIEDEMANN TO RETIRE AFTER RECORD RUN OF 50 YEARS

David Tiedemann becomes the first driver to reach 50 years of service with  ETS (Edmonton Transit Service). Over his 50 years Tiedemann has driven almost every route, witnessed all kinds of changes, received two safety awards and was recognized for going 39 years without an accident. Tiedemann will make his last run to and from the Edmonton International Airport on October 20th. From then he looks forward to spend more time with his wife, children and grand children.

David Tiedemann is one of the few people who can say they've worked at the same place for 50 years so whatever other commendations he will no doubt receive, "job well done" undergirds them all.
