WORLD PEACE SOCCER TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND
For seven years Abdullahi Mohamed, also known as Captain Abdull has organized a soccer tournament promoting world peace and inclusivity The soccer tournament includes teams from Mexico, Namibia, Somalia, Congo, Brazil, El Salvador, Gambia, and Burundi. The tournament begins at 10:30 Saturday with games played Queen Elizabeth high school and Grand Trunk Park. The championship game is scheduled to be played Sunday, 5:30 p.m.at Queen Elizabeth. The championship game will be preceeded by a match at 3:45 p.m between city police officers and a Canada World Peace Community Team.
