80% OF EDMONTONIANS SURVEYED APPROVE ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION IN CITY PARKS
BREAKING NEWS - Edmonton City Council just voted in favour of the move Monday during a community and public services committee meeting to approve the consumption in of alcohol in Edmonton Parks after they reviewed the results of last year's pilot project.
A phone survey conducted by consultant company Advanis found 80 per cent of the 409 Edmontonians surveyed agreed drinking should be allowed in Edmonton parks. Before alcohol consumption in city parks can be approved for this year or beyond City council will have to consider the survey data and vote on a motion to implement a program for alcohol use in parks.
