THAT DIDN'T TAKE LONG
A 6/22/22 post included the following "As I understand it it there won't be controlled crossings (crossing arms, gates or bells) at intersections.I'm not a pessimist but I wonder if the lack of controlled crossings is an accident waiting to happen?"
A worker commented that this was the first time a train on this line has struck a vehicle, although vehicles have driven into the side of the train several times before which seems to indicate a problem that needs to be addressed. As I recall there are no uncontrolled crossings else where so people have been accustomed to control arms. I repeat what the previous post said "'m not a pessimist but I wonder if the lack of controlled crossings is an accident waiting to happen?"
Should ETS reconsider the use of controlled crossings on the Valley Line Southeast?
