I don't know where one would have to go in the Western world to escape Christmas and all its trappings. Depending on where you live the signs of Christmas could begin appearing as early as right after the other religious holiday that precedes it, I have my thoughts about Christmas but rather than start a skirmish I'll leave you to read Joseph Wiebe's comments about the war on Christmas that has been ranging for a long time. Joseph Wiebe is associate professor of Religion and Ecology at the University of Alberta Augustana.
