One of the things I've noticed over the years is how those whose efforts focus on ill gotten gains are often early adopters of the latest technology and marketing methods in their devious schemes. Pornographers, gambling sites, credit card, phone, email, internet and door-to-door scammers, etc. seem to find new ways to take advantage of an unsuspecting, uninformed segment of the population.
