For years Lewis Cardinal worked on making a ceremonial ground a reality and with the progress made he says it is like stepping into a dream. kihciy askiy will provide a natural setting for Edmonton’s Indigenous community to host ceremonies, sweat lodges, cultural camps and talking circles, as well as grow medicinal herbs and facilitate intergenerational learning in an appropriately designed outdoor space.
