The forecast for warm weather coincides with the opening of the city hall fountain tomorrow. Adding to that will be live music and other activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Churchill Square. The Churchill Square activities join with those of Downtown Spark which continues until is happening June 4 in various locations around downtown.
The city hall fountain will be open for daily use on June 3, and will run until Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Cariwest, one of Edmonton’s most colorful and vibrant festivals introduced more than 35 years ago in Edmonton returns to Churchill Square August 5th-7th . The festival provides a platform through which to share popular Caribbean music, cuisine and Caribbean carnival culture with Western Canada.
Its not always true that 2 are better than 1 but in this case I'm pretty confident that they are. We've often gone to both the Works Art and Design Festival and the Edmonton Street Performers Festival so to be able to take them both in at the same place and time is fantastic.
The joint Works Art and Design Festival and the Edmonton Street Performers Festival will be held in Churchill Square July 8 to July 17 so pick a nice day and head down to Churchill Square to enjoy the visual art and performances.
