The non-competitive contract between the City and Ledcor for the 103A Avenue pedway has prompted Councillor Michael Janz to call for a "Lobbyist Registry". Edmonton's ethics adviser recommended a "Lobbyist Registry" last February but the previous council rejected it.

No matter how much you may dislike what a politician posts on social media the best way to deal with him/her is via the ballot box not through some government appointed watchdog. Freedom of speech is too precious to risk losing it for any reason.
