After sitting vacant for a number of years ground was finally broken on the next phase of the Stations Lands development. Phase two will begin with a pair of residential towers, the first projected to be completed in 2024. The Stations Lands will eventually include six towers which will provide rental housing for approximately 5000 people. The Stations Lands will also include commercial spaces, public patios, playgrounds, links to the city core and will be pedestrian and cyclist friendly.
