Newdowntownpark

In 1970 Joni Mitchell wrote and sang Big Yellow Taxi, a song about urbanization. Now, 54 years later there's a move in many places, including Edmonton to reverse that course.

Edmonton already has a river valley and many parks which makes us one of the greenest cities anywhere. But not to rest on its laurels a new park is in the works for downtown Edmonton where as an antitheses to Big Yellow Taxi 5 parking lots will be converted into a park for local residents. I wonder if this idea is the result of playing Big Yellow Taxi backwards. Sounds good to me.
