Caveat emptor is Latin for "Let the buyer beware" and is the principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made. This is especially relevant when purchasing a high ticket item such as a "used vehicle" as an Edmonton mother and her son recently found out. The mother and son paid iNeedaPP for a pre-purchase inspection which issued a report which misled them to purchase what later proved to be an irreparable rust bucket.
