Saturday evening a man was waiting for a bus at the Southgate Transit Centre when he was approachedby a woman who threatened him with a knife. A male then came up behind the man and struck his arm with a machete. The man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim claims he did not know the suspects and police believe both these incidents were random.
Police said the female suspect fled south on foot on 111th Street toward Whitemud Drive and the male suspect fled on a southbound LRT.
