After meeting all day yesterday, City Council voted to approve a four-year funding formula for the Edmonton Police Service. The formula takes into account inflation and population growth and will keep police funding on par with other city departments.The funding formula will enable EPS to plan for a longer term.
Policing is the city's largest annual expense, about $415 million in 2023 and will increase byabout $10 more in 2024.
