Thrive Elementary school in North Edmonton scheduled to open September 5th is a new charter school which received both seed funding and help setting up the the Thrive Charter School Society from the Priestner family. Thrive Elementary was initiated to increase opportunities for socio-economically challenged elementary school students and will provide its 164 kindergarten-to-Grade 6  students with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programming. Alberta Education will fund the education portion of the school and the Thrive Charter School Society will cover costs for meals, bussing and extracurricular activities.
