My wife and our family have have been privileged over the years to develop an appreciation for the visual (and other arts). Whenever and wherever we've had the opportunity to travel elsewhere amongst our priorities is to visit art galleries & exhibits wherever we are. Over the years we've been seen some of what's universally accepted as history's greatest artists and their works.
A couple of years ago it dawned on us how we'd been negligent about the art and artists in our own back yard so we visit local galleries, art exhibits and the Alberta Art Gallery at least once a year. I will attempt to keep you abreast of what's happening and showing artistically thus the post below.
If you haven't been at the Alberta Art Gallery for some time, or have never been I encourage you to go. If you can't afford the entrance fee plead your case and say it is public art, already paid for and supported by those of grater means....as of now.
