Yesterday was "Budget Day" in Alberta and the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation is hoping to see an indication of strong support for a new stand-alone facility. The Stollery provides pediatric care to central and northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan and northeastern British Columbia. The Stollery was designed in the late 70s but never opened until 2001, a much different era in health care than today. The Stollery has begun a fundraising campaign to raise $250 million for the construction of a new hospital.
