Hazeldean is an older part of Edmonton's Southside that has undergone a transformation by younger homeowners and families who have recognized the area as a desirable and safe place to live. The thoughts of the Hazeldean neighbourhood being thought of as a safe haven was shattered by gunshots Sunday morning. Unfortunately Edmonton hasn't escaped the criminal and violence that is happening in larger communities across America and now Hazeldean has been introduced to the scourge.
