CONCERTED EFFORT TO PREVENT DRUG OVERDOSES DOWNTOWN

Edmonton like other urban centres has experienced a number of drug overdoses and deaths in the downtown core the last few years. The Boyle Street Community Services, Downtown Business Association and the City have joined forces in a concerted attempt to prevent the drug overdoses and deaths. Trained medical professionals and outreach workers have come together to form the Overdose Prevention and Response Teams (OPRTs).
