The number of homeless and costs of managing homelessness has increased substantially since Covid. As the weather warms the number of encapments is projected to increase so the City is attempting to be proactive regarding the encampments and long term solutions to.
In spite of all the various programs and money being spent dealing with the symptoms of homelessness it continues to be a growing problem across North America. This begs the question if more emphasis and resources should be devoted to discover and deal with root of homelessness?
