HIGHER PROPERTY TAX FOR DERILICT PROPERTIES
City council has adopted a new and higher property tax rate for neglected, dilapidated, ramshackle and or unlivable residential properties in mature neighbourhoods.The city estimates that there are approximately 300 properties in those conditions and the property owners will be notified by mail of the impending property tax starting in 2024.
