WAS BANNING THE RUSSIAN PAVION AT HERITAGE DAYS A VIOLATION OF THE ALBERTA HUMAN RIGHTS ACT?

At the ouset I think it best that I state that I am of Ukrainian descent on both my father and mother's sides of the family going back generations. I like and respect both Ukrainians & Russians as well as all other peoples. I've posted about this issue a number of times and am glad the Russian Heritage Cultural Development Association (RHCDA has sent a letter to the Alberta Human Rights Commission claiming being banned from the Heritage Days Festival is  a "Human Rights Violation".

I'm not say its a "Human Rights Violation", I'm saying it is just wrong! The Russian Pavilion like every other pavilion at Heritage Days is sponsored, erected and manned by people of Russian descent who desire to showcase their ethnicity, culture and heritage. I don't think the Russian Pavilion has nothing more to do with the Russian government and/or Russian Politics than the Ukrainian Pavlion has to do with the Ukrainian government and politics.

We are a long ways away from both Russia and Ukraine and can ask and trust God to help us, discard our own biases, look beyond any conflicts and see both Russians and Ukrainians as people God loves and we should love also!

Should the Russian Pavilion be reinstated?
