BZZZZZZZZ........THE DREADED SOUND AFTER THE RAIN

We certainly needed the rain to deal with the forest fires and dry conditions but the downside of the rain is the potential for a booming mosquito season. The standing water provides the ideal breeding environment for mosquitoes which is why it is important to get rid of any standing water in your yard.

City crews are treating temporary ‘water bodies’ to kill mosquito larvae but the amount of rain we've received recently and warmer weather sets the stage for what might be a very troublesome mosquito season. Time to make certain your screen doors and windows are in good condition and to planning ahead for what you will use and/or do to combat and repel this seasons mosquito attack.
