BONNIE DOON CENTRE REINVENTING AGAIN
Bonnie Doon first opened in 1958 as a strip mall and then reinvented itself as Edmonton's second indoor shopping mall. Since then Edmonton has become malled out with malls opening, closing and reinventing themselves. The pandemic caused Bonnie Doon to reconsider its future and same old wasn't he answer so it began adding some new concepts; boutique stores, local clubs, experience attractions, an outdoor rink and indoor garden. All of these are attracting people to the mall once again and when the LRT finanlly opens that will hopefully bring a new influx of people to the neighbourhood mall and town centre.
