VEHICLE INSPECTION FINDS MAJORITY OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES INSPECTED TO BE IN VIOLATION OF SAFETY STANDARDS

Since large trucks can be a danger on the road if not in top mechanical shape and their loads are not secured properly vehicle inspections are conducted regularly. The week of September 13-15 Edmonton Police Service, municipal and provincial partners, completed 238 commercial vehicle inspections. Of the 238 inspected only 69 passed the inspection, 110 were taken off the road, 15 were towed and 551 violations were found.
