EDMONTON TRANSIT ADDS MORE PEACE OFFICERS

In response to the publics' growing concern regarding transit safety and security nine new peace officers will soon be out patrolling Edmonton’s transit system. These new peace officers will join officers will be shifted from other roles to create seven community outreach transit teams (COTT) by the end of summer. In February council approved $3.9 million to expand COTT over three years.
