CITY SUED FOR DISPLACING HOMELESS CAMPS

The Coalition for Justice and Human Rights (CJHR) filed a lawsuit against the City on Thursday. The lawsuit claims the City undermines the fundamental human rights of the homeless and violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms by not providing adequate shelter for those who need it.  

The City is preparing to defend its approaches in court and has until Sept. 18 to file its statement of defence.
