CANADA PERMANENT TRUST BUILDING GETS A REPRIEVE AND WILL REMAIN FOR MANY MORE YEARS

My favorite cities are those that have a mixture of modern architecture and historic building from the past. Edmonton is a fairly new city by global standards and over the years has not prized some of its older buildings as other cities have. I'm glad to report that the Canada Permanent Trust Building which has been part of Edmonton's landscape for over 110 years has undergone major interior renovations and has been designated an official historical site by both the province and the city. It is small by today's standards with only 2500 square feet on each of its 3 floors but its location and outer facade will make a great home for some occupant/s.
