PLAYING CHICKEN WITH THE CITY IS COSTLY

Ivan Dacko's love of animals has got him in trouble with the City. A little over a year ago Dacko hatched 6 hens, built a 2 story coop and applied to become part of the city's urban hens program but his application was denied. He refused to give the hens away and was fined $500 and ultimately landed him in the Remand Centre for 3 days.
