EYE SORE AND SAD REMINDER TO BE TORN DOWN

It was just announced that the old Remand Centre is going to be torn down later this year ...good riddance! The building was an eye sore in the downtown core and a sad reminder of the many inmates whose lives went awry or were ended inside those walls. I know someone who used to work there and although he never used the words, the conditions he described could be the best definition of a real hell hole. Once again, I repeat myself in saying.....good riddance!
