MIXED MESSAGES CAUSE CONTROVERSY

In another attempt to curb open drug use in public places syringes and pipes will no longer be given to people in pedways or near transit centres. This action produced a mixed action which is no surprise since the City was sending mixed signals by supporting the distribution of drug supplies in places where it’s illegal to use them. 

Mayor Sohi commented that people consuming and using [the drug paraphernalia] on transit facilities was not the right place to do so. He then added more supervised and properly managed [injection site] locations are needed. I believe I echo the sentiments of many who think the best location would be in the neighbourhood/s of those who push and approve these decisions
