FROM HOTEL TO HOME

What was once a hotel in south Edmonton's has now become an 85-unit supportive housing facility. The former hotel is now The Mustard Seed Prairie Manor which provides new permanent homes for residents who were previously homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

$9.2 million was provided by the federal government and $1.7 came from the City of Edmonton to renovate the former hotel. 49 units will be reserved for Indigenous people, 26 units are dedicated to women and the remaining 10 units will be for Edmontonians who have either experienced or are at imminent risk of homelessness.
