FC EDMONTON HAS PLAYED ITS LAST GAME

For the many soccer fans to hear that FC Edmonton will not be competing in the Canadian Premier League next season was sad news, especially at beginning of the World Cup. FC Edmonton debuted in 2011 and played in the North American Soccer League until the end of the 2017 season when they joined the CPL. There are hopes that a new ownership group can be found to bring a new CPL franchise to Edmonton. Until then soccer fans will have to cheer on Canada's team who play their first game in World Cup competition since 1986.
