I totally agree, Bro! In God's sovereign authority He gives man the freedom to choose to obey His direction or go our own way. The judgement on our decisions is simply sowing and reaping. For a believer, the only research that is incumbent upon us to do is to seek His wisdom and then submit to His will. Beyond that, the only reason I do research into the science of something, is not to confirm whether Father's will is supported by the science or not, but only to do what He ALSO commands us to do, which is to expose the darkness (pride, deceit, evil and injustice). (Eph. 5:6-14)
